Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Refugees and asylum seekers are a group of displaced people who need international co-ordination and support to help them move forward with their lives. Nobody takes the decision lightly to leave their homeland and everything that they know: people leave for multiple reasons (persecution, war, climate change etc), they often face treacherous journeys and may face further hardship from unwelcoming destination countries. The hard truth is that anyone of us could become a refugee or asylum seeker at any moment in time. If I for one was without food, shelter and safety with an uncertain future, then I may be driven to do the same.

However, international co-operation and a more compassion mindset towards this group are two important factors for creating better futures for these people. In this section, we touch on some of the many incredible organisations that are showcasing what can be done to empower refugees and asylum seekers.
